Nature Doesn't Recognise Boundaries.

We're connecting communities, knowledge and partnerships to protect the landscapes and waterways that connect us all.

About Us

Turning Collaboration into Action.

The Southern Ranges Environment Alliance is a community-led network that turns local action into regional impact. By sharing knowledge, building partnerships and coordinating landscape-scale initiatives, we create lasting environmental outcomes across the connected landscapes stretching from the Dandenong Ranges to Port Phillip and Western Port Bays.

Why it matters

Healthy Catchments. Thriving Bays.

Every drop of rain begins a journey. What falls in the forests of the Dandenong Ranges flows through creeks, rivers and wetlands before reaching Port Phillip and Western Port Bays. Protecting that journey takes more than local action.

Water Connects Everything

The water flowing through our hills, farms and towns eventually reaches our bays, carrying with it the impacts of every decision made upstream.

Nature Doesn't Recognise Boundaries

Waterways and wildlife don’t stop at council boundaries, yet conservation efforts often do.

Better Together

The greatest environmental outcomes happen when communities work together across entire catchments rather than tackling challenges in isolation.
